Install Day Checklist

We’re excited to help you improve the comfort and energy efficiency of your home.

Experienced Installation Crews

Our experienced crew is ready to make sure that everything goes smoothly on the day of your installation.

Most of our foremen have worked here for at least 5 years and the crews work very efficiently, like well-oiled machines. But there are some things you could do to prepare for the big install day before we even show up.

In general, the biggest thing is making sure we have access to the areas we’re insulating. We’ll bring some plastic to cover stuff, but if you have your own that’s great. More specifically, here are some things to consider depending on the area of the house we are insulating.

If We are Insulating the Walls…

A retrofit job where we’re injecting RetroFoam into your exterior walls is going to require us to drill into your walls and that’s going to cause some vibrations.

If you’ve got anything you’d hate to see fall off the walls we recommend you take those off before we start. This is especially true with brick walls.

Your foreman will also ask you to point out any cold air return or recessed cabinets.

Since we’re working around the perimeter of the house, making sure bushes and trees aren’t going to get in the way would be much appreciated.

If We are Insulating the Attic…

If we’re spraying your roof deck for an unvented attic then anything you have up in the attic is going to need to be pushed away from the attic ceiling.

Gathering it up in the center and covering it is going to be enough to make sure nothing gets foam on it that’s not supposed to. If we’re spraying the attic floor then that floor will need to be bare.

If We are Insulating the Basement Area…

If we’re insulating the basement walls or rim joist we’ll need to get into your basement.

Moving everything 3- or 4-feet from the walls is going to give us the amount of space we need to complete this project.

On the Day of the Install…

When it comes to the day of the install your foreman will review the project with you before they start working to ensure everyone is on the same page.

Afterward, they will do a visual walkthrough at the end of the job before collecting the balance due.
