Through SEMCO’s Energy Efficiency Assistance Program, income-qualified homeowners and renters may be eligible to get free insulation, air sealing, and other energy-saving upgrades – no out-of-pocket costs required, according to the utility’s website.

You may be eligible if your household income falls at or below 250 percent of the Federal Poverty Level. Renters would need consent from the landlord.
