Michigan residents that have been putting off energy efficient home improvements may want to make them a priority after Consumers Energy recently announced an extra incentive for installing insulation and replacing windows before the end of September.
“This year homeowners have been eligible to receive up to $400 for qualifying energy efficient insulation,” said Mark Massey, owner of RetroFoam of Michigan. “This new promotion doubles the available insulation rebates to $800, a major savings for investing in insulation that will not only maximize your comfort but that will pay you back long-term with lower utility bills.”
Whole house insulation and windows rebates include roof (attic), above-grade wall, basement wall, crawlspace, and rim joist qualifying insulation jobs. Replacement windows and patio doors also qualify for additional cash rebates.
With winter right around the corner it is ideal to get your energy efficient home improvements completed before the weather shifts, and Consumers Energy wants to make that decision easier on your wallet. More details about the standard rebate program are found here.
