Visiting expos, home and tradeshows are good places to start to get ideas for projects, as well as meet with contractors to do the bigger jobs for you. It’s also great place to get interior design and DIY projects ideas.
RetroFoam of Michigan takes part in dozens of expos, home shows and tradeshows every year. Here are some shows we will be a part of in February, so if you’re interested in foam insulation, stop on out and talk with one of our experts about insulating your home.
February 2017 Michigan Expo, Trade and Home Shows
Michigan Construction and Design Tradeshow: Feb. 1, 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The Michigan Construction and Design Tradeshow will be returning to the MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit. The one-day tradeshow will be attended by construction owners, contractors, suppliers, architects and engineers.
Mid-Michigan Women’s Expo: Feb. 3, 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., Feb. 4, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Feb. 5, 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. The Mid-Michigan Women’s Expo will be held at the Lansing Center in Lansing and is celebrating 17 years as an expo focused on health, fashion, fitness and home style ideas. Tickets to the expo are $9 for adults and $7 for children ages 6 to 14-years-old.
Great Lakes Builders Show: Feb. 15, 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Feb. 16, 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. The Great Lakes Builders Show will be held at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. The show will showcase the latest in residential construction and remodeling products, as well as unique information and educational opportunities.
Grand Rapids Boat Show: Feb. 15, 3 p.m. until 9 p.m., Feb. 16, 3 p.m. until 9 p.m., Feb. 17, 11 a.m. until 9 p.m., Feb. 18, 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Feb. 19, 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. The Grand Rapids Boat Show is a west Michigan tradition and will be showing its broadest array of power boats in its 72 year history. The show will be held at the DeVos Place in Grand Rapids. Tickets are $10 for adults, $4 for children aged 6 to 14-years-old, and kids 5-years-old and under get in free.
Home Builders Association Grand Traverse Area Home Expo: Feb. 18, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Feb. 19, 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. The HBAGTA is holding its 33rd Annual Home Builders Expo at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Acme. Each year the expo showcases new building trends, products, ideas, and inspiration. Tickets are $7 at the door. Children 4-years-old and under are free.
Your Spring Home Show: Feb 18, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Feb. 19, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Your Spring Home Show will be held at the Macomb Community Expo Center in Warren. It is the largest home improvement show in Metro Detroit in February.
Traverse City Boat Show: Feb. 24, 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., Feb. 25, 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., and Feb. 26, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The Traverse City Boat Show will be held at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Acme. The show will feature pontoons, ski boats, cruisers, personal watercraft, docks, boat lifts, paddle boards, boating accessories, and more. Tickets are $6 for adults, $2 for kids aged 4 to 12-years-old, and kids 3 and under get in free.
Home Improvement and Garden Show: Feb. 24, 12 p.m. until 9 p.m., Feb. 25, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Feb. 26, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. The Spring Home Improvement and Gardening Show has the latest products and services for kitchens, baths, doors, windows, remodeling, heating, cooling, lawn accessories, spas, paving bricks, landscaping, fireplaces, and more. Admission is free and parking is $2 per vehicle.
Cottage and Lakefront Living Show – Detroit: Feb. 23, 1 p.m. until 9 p.m., Feb. 24, 11 a.m. until 9:30 p.m., Feb. 25, 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., and Feb. 26, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m at the Suburban Collection Showcase in Novi. The Cottage and Lakefront Living Show allows you to compare designers, furnishings, lakefront builders and realtors, boats and docks, vacation services and financing all in one place. Tickets are $10 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 14-years-old, and kids 5-years-old and under get in free.
